Which avenue is best for you?
BASS/
TENOR
Bass and Tenor is for male identifying or non-gender conforming lower voices.
ALTO/
SOPRANO
Alto and Soprano is for female identifying or non-gender conforming higher voices.

VOCAL SCIENCE?
Hello, badass vocalist!
Let’s start with seeing yourself as a Vocal Athlete.
Your voice is an instrument that is made of muscles, ligaments, mucosal tissue, and more! We aren’t simply born with a voice and that’s all it will ever be. Just like any other skill and athletic based experience in life, if we practise, hone our skill and build healthy, effortless muscle function, then we are able to consistently grow and expand our voice.
The Voice Science portion comes from providing training with evidence based contemporary vocal techniques that work. As a certified NCSV Vocologist and voice nerd, I am consistently training in the latest vocal health, vocal strength training, and vocal rehabilitating techniques. There is a beautiful part of the voice world that studies the voice through the lens of science, research, and years of hard work from incredible people in our field.
So, what is Athletic Voice Science? From my 19 years of training vocalists, I have found that training like a badass vocal athlete, utilizing voice science techniques and mixing it in with soul, creativity, and authentic artistry is an incredible way to unlock and build a healthy, strong, and effortlessly free voice.
ABOUT CQ VOICE
Carol-Lynne Quinn (CQ) is a Vocal Coach, Singing Rehabilitation Specialist and Vocologist. She is the vocal coach for the JUNO Master Class, Canada's Music Incubator, Music BC's ARC program, Project Wild and works with beginner, emerging, indie and major label artists. Her passion is training singers into vocal athletes and helping them discover their healthy, effortless and powerful voice while keeping their own authentic and unique sound.
